Hello – a strange time, is it not?

Avoid alcohol – it doesn’t work; eat well, get exercise; maintain social connections, albeit keep physical distance.

It’s no fun. We’re gregarious by nature. Getting together is essential but most be managed in light of COVID19.

My plans for Mallorca have been kiboshed. So, I plan to ride locally and to post blog rides soon. For the time being, I’m skate skiing with a few others in the Gatineau. This should be good for another couple of weeks, depending upon the how much the rain erodes the snow base. If you haven’t been to the Gatineau for skate skiing or classic, it’s well worth the drive – absolutely spectacular and provides an awesome workout.

As for group riding, we’ll manage this by keeping the group small and by staying apart at Stinsons and by following good hygiene on and off the bicycle. Specifically, with respect to nose blowing and expectoration, this must be curtailed in the proximity of others. KO has a good practice (note to self) of going to the back of the ride or crossing to the other side of the road. Worth following his example and doing the same.
