Hello. I’m back. That’s good or bad or indifferent to you. Regardless, I’m back for now.

My thanks to KO for lighting the fire and for getting us started in what has been a difficult spring for cycling so far. Also, thanks to all the weekend riders for showing up and making the group rides, group rides. It’s a pleasure to share the joy of cycling with fellow enthusiasts.

Above all, we want to be safe and free from accidents and we want to look forward to riding each weekend because the last weekend was so much fun. Really, there’s no other way … .

This is the 30th anniversary of the ‘mafia’, now referred to by me as arnpriorcycling. There’s much to celebrate. There’s a great history behind us and a great future. We’ve seen riders come and go and disappear. But, we’re still here. We have a few ‘oldies’ hanging around for continuity, for a while anyway.

I hope you can join us for this memorable year of celebration – for some, there first, others their fourth, their tenth, their thirtieth. No mater, we all count; we all matter. We are all threads in a golden tapestry, woven in one’s and two’s and three’s from near and far, from the past to the present and beyond. Really, where else would you rather be than on the weekend than pedalling away the fatty bits with your friends. We are stronger together.

Okay, we’re behind the eight ball. The 130 km Middleville ride is May 18; the 170 km Pembroke ride is May 25. We have to get moving. So, here’s the deal:
