Hello there  –

Life is good. It’s a privilege to be able to say that. For many, life is not good or at least it has onerous restrictions and constraints – money, time, physical/mental impairment, employment, family, personal relationships, and happenstance. I hope none of these afflict you in a negative way. And, if they do, I hope riding your bicycle provides respite and solace – a simple, elemental, and fluid esthetic in its purity. It’s an uncomplicated and accessible past-time offering delight, joy, and pleasure – that powerful triumvirate to a happy life and times.

Now, perfection is something else entirely – a sterile and unnatural state unknown to human experience. May you not be perfect nor strive for perfection. Goodness yes; perfection, no.

Okay, here’s the plan for Saturday:

1) Meet at Stinsons on White Lake Rd for a 7:30 am 7:30 am start, with the route and distance to be determined by those present.

2) Meet at P3 Gatineau 7:30 am 7:30 am start and ride three loops (FP x1, King/Blacks x2 with links via Kingsmere). Total distance 85-87 kms; 1584 metres.

Ask yourself, where else would you rather be when the alarm rings on Saturday morning than on your bicycle pedalling away the fatty bits? You know you’ll just want to be there.
