Hello. Let’s try again. Saturday morning was a washout but otherwise the weather defied the forecast and turned out to be dryer than expected. Too bad because by the time the rained stopped we had aborted our cycling plans for the day. Still, the chance of thunderstorms was high.  That, an a steady south wind, would have made for difficult and, possibly, dangerous conditions. Yes, you could say that this is just an excuse but really how is one to know. You roll the dice you takes your chance.

Well, for Sunday, we’ll ride.

Here’s the tentative plan for Sunday:

Meet at Stinsons on White Lake Rd for 7:30 am 7:30 am start and ride to Renfrew and Calabogie via Russett, #508, Goshen, L-W, Gillan, Barnett, Raglan, Pucker St, Norton, #508, Burnstown for coffee (Km 75); home via White Lake, etc for at total distance of approx 97 Kms.

This route is all about rollers and hills. Our training goal is to develop the legs for next week’s Tour of White Water. Plan is to keep the effort moderate since the hills will give us all the work we need. Ask yourself, “where else would you rather be?”

As usual, it’s steady as she goes, with minimal delays on the road.

Weather: 17 – 20 C, a mix of sun, cloud; winds south-west 15; POP 20 %

Caveat: All this subject to change based upon the turnout and the weather and rider consensus.
