Okay, this is the week of celebration for women with Hilary becoming the DP Nominee. It’s also a long weekend. You can’t trump that. Yippee!

Here’s the tentative plan for Saturday, assuming winds are from the north-east:

Meet at Stinsons at 7:30 am 7:30 am and ride Rob’s route to Kanata for Americano and sweet cakes.  The route will take us down Galetta to Woodkilton to Vances SR to Barlow Cr and eventually the Sixth Line to Riddell to March Valley to Star Bucks; home via Old Carp Rd, etc for a total distance of 106 kms+-. Ride can be shortened as necessary.

NOTE the Venue and Time: Stinsons on White Lake Rd 7:30 am, sharp departure.

Temperature will be in the mid twenties; wind north-east at 15. Who wouldn’t want to ride in that?

As for the ride, we’ll have a head-cross wind more or less both ways, I think. Minimal climbing for the most part. As usual, it’s steady as she goes, with minimal delays on the road. Bring gels, bars, water, electrolytes, etc. Liquids will be a key element tomorrow. The coffee stop is at kilometre 57 approx.

Alert: Important information: These are ‘no-drop’ group rides. It’s steady as she goes (conversational style), except for the hills where it’s every man for himself. Regroup at the top. Honest effort required by all. New cyclists welcome.
