Aug 22/15: 63 Kms; 2 Hrs 05; 359 Metres; Five Riders

Okay, hello. It seems the interest in the weekend rides is fading fast. We had five cyclists this morning for an easy circuit to the Neat cafe. I thought there might have been more, given the shorter distance and pace. It’s probably time to take a break since the level of participation has dwindled. I guess you can get too much of a good thing, after all. Also, holidays and family commitments continue for some riders. This, and with no specific tour-event in the calendar, there is little motivation among the troops at large to show up and ride. So, with that in mind, I’ll take it as a cue to call off the group rides for a few weeks. We can resume again in September if there is any interest. So, this will be my last post for the time being. Summer is all but over and we have had a good season. No regrets.

Regarding the new cycling laws as of Sept 01, bicycle lights are only required an hour before dusk. This clarification comes from Mark G courtesy of Patrick Searle (Twitter @Patrick4Ont) Government of Ontario Infrastructure. I will however use the blinking Specialized Flux Expert on all my rides. Pick mine up on Monday.

As for tomorrow, Sunday, some of us are riding the MEC 100 kms.

Okay, bye bye, ac. Comments always welcome at;
