July 19/15: 72 Kms; 2.19 Hrs; 394 Metres; Five Riders.

Okay, well the threat of rain and the high humidity, the blue sky and unrelenting sun kept many regulars away from Stinsons this morning. Still, those of us that were there carried on down Russett to Burnstown and Pakenham without too much bother from the wind or the oppressive heat. The key was to keep moving, and that we did. Marcel obviously hadn’t worked hard enough on Saturday because his legs showed no fatigue and he had a keenness to take the bit. All it took was the willingness of young Sam to follow. And, pow, you had a one two punch that soon had us asunder, which is not say in duress because the ride was wild and wonderful.  Joe was pumped and happy but tired. We joined him as  he sank into a chair at Stinsons to enjoy a slug of cm and a few laughs at the days escapades. You really just should have been there.

The question was posed to Max yesterday, “Is this doing us any good?” To which, Max replied, “It’s beyond good.” Now, you unriddle that!

Okay, we will continue with the hilly theme next Saturday, weather permitting. Stay tuned for details.
