June 27/15: 106 Kms; 3 Hrs 28; 505 Metres; Nine Riders

Well, what can I say. The tour director’s job is on the line. Rob was up to the task with a suggestion to alter the homeward leg of to-day’s route. “Let’s take Second Line and make our way over to  Stonecrest”, he said. And, we did.

Now, that is a nice stretch of road, with its curves, easy up and gentle downs, its glades and tree lined way – and fresh pavement. It’s a pity it ends so soon and that it isn’t longer and hillier; think of Garden of Eden but better; think of Pucker St but better; think of Old Carp Road but better. Now, if they would only extend it to the end. Okay, I’m greedy. Still, what a great ride this morning as we pedaled (and sang) in near perfect conditions. I think we nailed this one on the outward leg by returning home with the wind at our backs. It really doesn’t get better than this. A big thank you to everyone for turning up. If you missed it,  you just should have been there!

Okay, the weather forecast for Sunday is lousy – lots of rain and cool temperatures. So, for the second week in a row, there will be no group ride. It’s everyman for himself. Sorry.

Some of you have asked about upcoming Tour Events.
