May 17/14: Ten riders; 130 Kms; 4 Hrs 18; 515 Metres.

Well, a bit short on the posted distance of 140 Kms but no one really minded. The pace was honest and steady as we took full advantage of the west wind when we could. Kudos to Perry, Keith, Jeff, and Marcel for their modulated efforts at the front, keeping us together uphill and down. The ride from Burnstown home was a virtual team time-trial. You just should have been there. And, you can on Sunday.

Here’s the plan:

Venue: Stinsons on White Lake Road at 8 am 8 am

Route: Renfrew Pucker St Hwy 132 McNaughton Butler Hwy 60 (no Pinnacle this time) through Renfrew to Burnstown for coffee at the Neat Cafe.

Distance: 113 Kms approx; Weather: cool with winds from the west.

Description of Route: Lots of climbing. We need the hill work given the low training mileage this year to-date.

Pace: Moderate on the flats and easy-going on the hills – not full-out. Got it!

Bye bye. ac.;
