Okay, can’t wait any longer to post this message. The weather is not likely to improve. Might as well do it. Here is the plan:

Stinsons 8 am 8 am. Route to Renfrew via Campbell Dr to Valley Carver to Lochwinnow, etc, with coffee at the Bonnechere Bakery; then home via Bruce St. and Castleford or Garden of Eden and Storyland, depending on time constraints. Distance will be in the 70 km to 85 kms range. It will be a cool ride with nw winds. You will need tights or knee warmers, gloves, whatever. Still, don’t let the cool air cool your enthusiasm for riding. There will be time enough for sleeping in and sitting on the couch and waiting for visitors to the nursing home. Stretch those legs, pedal like the billy oh, and join us as we wind down the season. Besides, we can drop the pace if not the distance at this point. We’ve earned it. And, we still have the Tour des Ponts on Oct 05. You want to be ready for that.

Okay, ciao for now. See you in the morning. ac Comments always welcome at arnpriorcycling@bell.net or Twitter at www.twitter.com/ArnpriorCycling. Check out my retweet of Outside magazine’s latest on fitness.

Masons, when they start upon a building,

Are careful to test out the scaffolding;

Make sure that planks won’t slip at busy points,

Secure all ladders, tighten bolted joints.

And yet all this comes down when the job’s done

Showing off walls of sure and solid stone.

 So if, my dear, there sometimes seem to be

Old bridges breaking between you and me

Never fear. We may let the scaffolds fall

North Antrim Coast

North Antrim Coast

Confident that we have built our wall.
